During the National Circus Festival of Ireland  2022, we brought back our SHARE Open Forum once more.

SHARE is a space for artists and professionals to bring their projects, dreams, and challenges to the table and share ideas and solutions with fellow artists and arts professionals.

We were thrilled to have Kath Gorman and Ciara O Mahony from Promenade Ireland, Sebastià Jordà Ràmis from Circaire, Ulla Hokkanen from Galway Community Circus, Aoife Carry from Twisted Lane Productions, Jonah McGreevy from Loosysmokes, Marion Gianesini and Léna Paquis-Arias from Scopie, and Henrik Gard from Cikada Circus sharing their new projects and ideas at our Share Open Forum.

We were delighted to be joined by international guests – Geo Kalev, Dagmara Gumkowska, Haggis McLeod – from festivals and arts organisations all around Europe thanks to the support of Culture Ireland.

Here is what some of them said about their experience.

I had a lovely weekend. It was great to catch up with old friends and make so many new ones. Really impressed with the ISACS organisation.

We had a fantastic time at the Share Open Forum as part of NCFI in Tralee. It was wonderful to hear so many passionate and creative speakers working on a variety of projects and programmes.

It was really good, felt like a coming of age of circus in Ireland. The international and national speakers were excellent.

It was a very pleasant and useful meeting. It is of great importance to me how other organisations work and finance and develop modern forms of circus art.

The meetings in Trelee created potential for future artistic exchange and opened Bulgaria to direct communication and the possibility of realising creative projects. The small town of Tralee has actually become the circus capital of Ireland for more than 20 years. This process is very beautiful and proves that the most important thing for holding circus festivals, events, conventions is for the people who belong to this community.

Great time together. Extremely high level of communication between all festival participants. I will be happy to see you in Bulgaria at the Mini Art Fest in the summer of next year and to present Irish circus performers for the first time.
