Promenade provides arts advisory, consultancy, mentoring, producing services to support artistic development, delivering high-quality Irish and international arts and cultural experiences in the areas of circus, participatory arts, public art, spectacle and street arts for a diverse range of publics.

Recent projects include: Arts Council commissioned research study regarding circus building based infrastructure in Ireland, local authority commissioned light festival feasibility study, public engagement strategy for National Sculpture Factory and Mapping of Producers in Ireland.  Core team members are Founder/Creative Director Kath Gorman and Project Manager Ciara O’Mahony.

Kath Gorman

Kath Gorman is a creative producer, curator and arts management consultant with significant senior international arts management experience.  Past roles include: Adviser, Arts Participation for The Arts Council, Head of Participation and Engagement/Artistic Curator at Cork Midsummer Festival, Project Manager for large-scale outdoors art commission Cork Ignite, Director of Kinsale Arts Week; Festival Producer for youth creativity service BBC Blast flagship London events (National Theatre, Kensington Gardens & Trafalgar Square) and Director of London arts centre Jacksons Lane.  She has been a board member of Cork Printmakers, Little Angel Theatre and Total Theatre.  She was also a steering group member for the inaugural Total Theatre Awards.

Ciara O’Mahony

Ciara O’Mahony has worked on a number of projects since joining Promenade in February 2022 as Project Associate now Project Manager, providing support in an administrative, research and project support capacity. These include: a Public Engagement Strategy for the National Sculpture Factory,evaluation of the John Broderick Writer in Residency Series for the Arts Council,Circus Building Infrastructure Study for the Arts Council and a Feasibility Study for aWinter Light Festival for a local authority. Other current/recent contracts include: project co- ordination support services for Culture Night Cork city 2022, communication services for participatory arts project, Before the Rainbow…and After with Mark Storor and members of Cork Gay Project.  Ciara has a keen interest and passion for inclusively and accessibility within the arts. Ciara currently sits on the board of directors for the National Circus Festival of Ireland and a a producer has worked with renowned drag artist Candy Warhol on their debut play The Wind That Shakes The Wig at Cork Midsummer Festival. She has also provided producing services for 4 Lovers by Circus Factory at Cork Midsummer Festival and co-produced Pitch’d Circus & Street Arts Festival 2023.
