About Doulab for Circus and Dance
Doulab for Circus and Dance is an Irish-Palestinian duo who teach, create and perform, and are recently arrived from Palestine to Ireland. Fadi and Juliet Zmorrod are contemporary circus and dance artists, working in the space between circus and dance. Fadi is originally specialised in Chinese pole and acrobatics, and lately focused on Cyr wheel, pushed after his work with Cirkus Cirkör in Sweden to explore the wheel more as a discipline.
Apart from creating, they work a lot with marginalised communities, such as refugee communities and the special needs community, usually in Palestine, but now extending to Ireland too! As one of the major figures in the development of circus as a field in Palestine, Fadi especially is delighted to be in Ireland and explore the scene here.
They are both honoured to be taking part in DELVE with ISACS, and can’t wait to explore the circus scene in Ireland with this fantastic opportunity!
