We in ISACS bid farewell to our dear colleague Amanda Usher as she turns her talents to becoming a full time professional visual artist.
Amanda started working with ISACS as Company Administrator in March 2020 – her first week being the day the country went into Covid lockdown – a challenge to say the least. During her time here, we built all the governance policies & documents, built a whole new CRM system from scratch, as well as developing a Strategic plan for the future of the organisation from 2022 – 2025.
We also had the great pleasure to work on two large-scale programmes towards developing Circus and Street Arts: ‘Streets Ahead’ in partnership with Cork City Council Arts Office and ‘Circus Explored’ in partnership with Creative Ireland. These two programmes shone a new light on the potential of creation in public space as well as the transformative nature of Youth & Social Circus on people’s lives. Two things that we in ISACS believe passionately in.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish Amanda the very best for the future and hope that in some way her time with ISACS inspired her to take this brave and enormous leap forward in her career. This is just the beginning!

It’s been an amazing 2.5 years, and I’ve met some wonderful and incredibly talented people – you’re all truly inspiring! So much so, that you’ve inspired me to pursue my own artistic journey in visual arts. So, while the ISACS team will be losing an employee, it will be gaining a new member.
