Amanda Usher is an Irish visual artist. Her current work explores colour, shape and placement via paint. The goal is to combine all three elements and create a sense of dream like memory that is abstract yet feels familiar. Her supporting material predominantly comes from photographs or found online images that she distorts and blurs. This research is a hugely important element of her process as it usually lends to the composition and colour palette that feeds the work.
