The ISACS Network & Culture Ireland, in association with Spraoi Festival, is delighted to announce the selected ISACS artists who will present their work at PITCH 2023.

PITCH is a mentorship programme developed in partnership with Culture Ireland to allow emerging ISACS artists to present their ready-to-tour show in a professional environment. The chosen artists will be supported and trained in how to present their idea formally and then have the opportunity to pitch it to an audience of international programmers and bookers from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Catalonia, the UK and Estonia during Spraoi Festival.

About the artists

Elysia McMullen

Elysia McMullen

Born in Dublin, Elysia studied ISTD Modern Dance Teaching at Inchicore College and Dance Theatre/Modern in Fontys Hogeschoolvoor de Kunsten, Netherlands, graduating in 2016. Elysia has performed with Pia Meuthen, Plan-D, Cie Woest, Fernando Belfiore, Guilherme Miotto, Anton Lachky, Close Act Theatre Company, Cirque Educatif, Gabriella Maiorino, Eddy Bequart, United Cowboys, Roberto Magro, Tea Time Company, John Scott and Ping Pong Disco/Paradise Cabaret with Deirdre Griffin and Cian Kinsella. In 2020, she co-founded Bill and Fred Productions with Luisa Schmitz, an all-female clown duo, merging dance, circus and theatre, touring “Bill and Fred’s Adventures” and “The Grannies” in Switzerland, The Netherlands, France, Germany and Ireland.

Kathleen’s work merges contemporary dance, aerial and performance art. As a consequence of existing, her work is emotionally driven. The thematic focus is personal growth and the eternal question of what it means to be human. Collaborating with Alexandre Duarte, her show “Martyr” premiered at the Irish Aerial Dance Festival in 2022. “The Fall”, scored by Dave Boyd, will premiere in 2023 at the Constructed Sight Film Festival, USA. She is now working on two creations, “The Space Between” and “Broken Warmth”, a stage show performed at Karosta Festival, Latvia in 2023 and in C.IN.E, Mallorca.

Angelique Ross

Angelique grew up performing and teaching in community circuses throughout rural Western Australia. She’s lived in caravans and big top toured internationally with shows such as NoFit State’s “Bianco.’ Now based in Belfast, when she’s not being stood on and thrown about by Tumble Circus, she can be found touring her award-winning solo show SPIT. Angelique is one half of the female DIY punk circus duo Snatch Circus. She is known for making bold and evocative circus as an aerialist, wire walker, juggler, and carny to the bone.

Elisa Gallo Rosso

Elisa Gallo Rosso is a Cork-based interdisciplinary performing artist with training in architectural studies and clowning. She has over 2 decades of collaborative and solo projects that include live performance, installation and theatre-making. Her broader practice embraces set design, puppetry from small-scale to large-scale, arts participatory methodologies and clowning. Past set-design/performer/artistic collaborator credits include Robin Dingemans, Natasha Davis, Circo Ridiculoso, and Quinta Tinta Theatre. In 2020 she became the Artistic Director of Cork Puppetry Company, leading on the artistic creation and design of parades commissioned for Cork and Dublin St Patrick’s Day Festivals.
