Meet the isacs International Guests at National Circus Festival 2024

Xavier Valentí has been active in the world of theatre for almost four decades. He has been a jack of all trades. He has worked as an actor, theatre director, playwright, lighting designer, technician, stage manager, producer and cultural promoter, among other specialities. As an activist and cultural agitator he tries to make things happen outside the big cities and the big cultural centres. A staunch defender of the small, of territorial balance and of the local as a direct route to the universal. He is currently co-artistic director of the Figueres Humour Festival (festivalcomic.cat) and the Passejades Microtheatre Festival (passejades.com), and artistic director of the Girona International Amateur Theatre Festival (fitag.cat). As a Catalan, he is an endangered species, always fighting for his language and his political identity. What a remedy!

Aïna has been teaching mask technique based on Lecoq pedagogy at ERAM School since 2016.

In 2021, she began working as an artistic producer for the Festival Z in Girona. She is currently pursuing a Waldorf pedagogy training from 2021 until today. Her journey started at the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris, where she studied from 2010 to 2012, followed by a postgraduate program in LEM Laboratoire d’Étude du Mouvement in 2013.

Clive Lyttle is artistic director of Certain Blacks. Certain Blacks is an arts development organisation formed to support the growth of diverse artists. The organisation supports performance, live art, music and theatre and supports the creative voice of our diverse society. The aim of the organisation is to provide more diverse work for touring and performance in the UK and beyond.  Certain Blacks is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.
