The ISACS Network strongly encourages its membership to make a submission for the Public Consultation on new Action Plan for Insurance Reform. This is an opportunity to make our voice heard and communicate our priorities for reform in insurance for the sector:
- Increased competition to drive down prices
- More product offerings across more diverse activities and industries to cater for those who have no insurance product available right now
This is an essential piece of advocacy that ISACS delivers with the Alliance for Insurance Reform. The power and persuasiveness of our message comes from the scale and diversity of our membership, but only if we utilise it.
The Alliance have stressed that we’re unlikely to see any reforms that aren’t in the action plan; so we need the government to hear our message multiple times and from multiple sources. Which means please make a submission!
There are a number of questions on the submission form but you do not need to answer them all. You can see the submissions so far – so feel free to use these as a guide, focus on the priorities outlined above, and remember to write in your own words!
Please note that all submission can be viewed publicly online. The full Alliance position paper (attached) contains some other measures that might resonate with you, so please review it and include those that do. The Alliance have also provided a “Suggested Responses” document which goes into more detail on the question format the Department is using.
