The ISACS Network is delighted to present Art-Illa, our Baleàric Irish Arts Residency supported by the Arts Council of Ireland International Residency Initiatives Scheme (IRIS).
The initiative is presented in partnership with Circaire and in association with the National Circus Festival Ireland and Siamsa Tire.
What, Where and When is Art-Illa?
Art-Illa is a creative immersive lab. It consists of an immersive transnational exchange and cooperation across multidisciplinary art forms.
There will be 2 artists participating from Ireland, and 2 artists from Baleàric Island.
The first Residency takes place from August 29 to September 12, 2022, on the Baleàric island of Mallorca. The artists will be fully engaged in a creative immersion lab, mentored by the Actor, Director and Theatre Author Enric Ases in Mallorca. The Baleàric experience will culminate in our artists attending the FiraTàrrega Festival.
The second Residency will happen in Ireland from October 23 to November 7, 2022.
In Ireland, the artists will be mentored by the experienced Circus and Spectacle Director Aoife Carry in Kerry, and the residency will conclude at the National Circus Festival of Ireland, in Tralee.
Selected Artists
The selected Irish artists to take part in this incredible opportunity are Jude Penders and Gill Byrne, who will be partnering with the Baleàric artists Rosa Forteza and Alejandro Navarro. Find out more here.
