Five-person international dance and circus troupe Kundle Cru, led by well-known Dublin-based contemporary and urban dancer Matt Szczerek, come to The Everyman and The Civic with their new production Birds, taking a bird’s-eye view of modern-day life.

We are in the midst of huge global changes. Unarmed and unprepared; our wings are clipped, fuses are short and all that is needed is a spark to set it all up in flames. Using skilful and energetic hip-hop, contemporary dance and circus moves with a hypnotic, pumping soundtrack, this piece asks: what plan can we hatch to make things better for ourselves?

Following the international success of Blame Game, Kundle Cru return to Ireland with new show Birds. Kundle Cru are renowned for their innovative and physically dynamic performances that blend circus skills, dance and theatricality. The company is committed to creating work that is accessible, engaging and thought-provoking.

Funded by the Arts Council and Fingal County Council. With additional support from Crying Out Loud and Dublin Fringe Festival. Developed at FRINGE LAB with the support of Dublin Fringe Festival.
