This will be the first edition of the International Festival “Emerald Isle Arts Festival”

This event is originating from the Ukrainian community in Ireland with the aim of developing and popularising dance, music, and circus arts among children and adults.

This festival will include competitions in a number of categories and age ranges. Participants are asked to pay to enter and there will be prizes for the overall winners. Read on to find out more.

 

Categories

  • Dance Art (ballroom, classical, folk, contemporary dance)
  • Original Genre (circus art, acrobatics, juggling, clowning, gymnastics — excluding aerial acts)
  • Musical Art

Program Requirements

  Dance Art & Original Genre:

  • 2 performances, each up to 5 minutes

  Musical Art:

  • 2 contrasting pieces, total duration based on age category:
    • A – up to 5 minutes
    • B – up to 6 minutes
    • C – up to 7 minutes
    • D – up to 8 minutes
    • E, F – up to 10 minutes

Jury

The jury comprises professional artists, teachers, choreographers, musicians, and producers.All jury decisions and scores are final and not subject to cancellation, appeal, or review.

Evaluation Criteria

Performances are evaluated on a 100-point scale considering:

  • Technical execution
  • Artistic expressiveness and emotion
  • Stage presence
  • Accuracy of stage image
  • Originality
  • Creative individuality

Awards

  • Grand Prix Supreme – Large diploma, large trophy, and cash prize
  • Grand Prix – Diploma, trophy, and cash prize
  • Laureates – Diploma (1st, 2nd, 3rd degree), medal, and trophy (1 per group)
  • Diplomats – Diploma (4th, 5th, 6th degree)
  • All participants receive honorary diplomas
  • The jury reserves the right to distribute awards at its discretion

Financial Terms

Participants contribute a charitable fee for festival development:

  • Soloists – €30
  • Ensembles (duet to quintet) – €20 per person
  • Groups (6–10 persons) – €100 total
  • Groups (over 10 persons) – €150 total

Travel, accommodation, and meals are covered by participants themselves.

Participation Conditions

The competition is held in person. Participants with documented valid reasons (medical, social, etc.) or in case of extraordinary circumstances may participate remotely upon special approval by the organisers. Requests should be sent to the contact addresses listed above.
