Hi My name is Hannah Ryan I’m 24 years old an i am an emerging circus artist from Dublin.
I spent one year on the BTEC physical theatre and contemporary circus course in Circomedia in Bristol.
My main specialisation is hulahoop.
I just completed my first funded by the arts council project. I used my agility award to research and a develop a new act using partner acrobatics. I wanted to diversify my stage acts and create something more high concept and non hulahoop related. Alongside my acro partner and friend Polina Shapkina we filmed our work in progress and are currently promoting this with the hopes of having it audience ready for 2023!
I love all things circus and dance! I finished my course in circomedia right as the pandemic hit which was a real set back for my training and my confidence I am slowly coming out of this now and returning to circus full power.
2022 was a very busy year for me with lots of fun walkabout, festival performances, fire performances and getting more experience onstage.
My goals for 2023 are:
To spend lots of time devising a diverse range of acts for stage as well branching more into comedy and burlesque.
Applying for and attending my first residency
Learning more about how to access funding and the opportunities that come with it
Meeting and integrating with the Isaac network and meeting new friends, collaborators and mentors
