Brian Daly began performing over 20 years ago, at age 13. Brian gained extensive professional experience in the entertainment industry including stage, screen, and festival appearances, while holding a performing residency, to do his one-man show around 200 times / yr for 5 years.

Brian received noticeable recognition from his peers, and industry – being booked to host shows, lecture and perform at the World’s largest magician’s conference; and nominated as Ireland’s top corporate entertainer. This recognition lead to Brian being requested to consult and collaborate in a wider range of areas such as magical consultant for TV, Film and Plays and with numerous performers in the areas of act creation and career support.

In 2016, Brian began transforming from ‘prop and verbal based entertainer‘ to ‘non-verbal contemporary clown / performing artist‘. To aid this transformation, Brian completed 7 years of training and performing in classic and contemporary clown, supplemented with dance, mime and physical theatre and continues his training and performing.

An Arts Council agility award has funded Brian’s practice, with mentorship by Olivier award-winner Jos Houben, for a work-in-progress performance at the National Circus Festival of Ireland 2021. In order to support the long-term aims of developing new artistic practices and a full theatre show this mentorship continues today.
