We’re inviting circus artists and companies with full acts or shows to apply for Circus Science by the Sea – Europe’s only Circus Science Festival – taking place 14–16 November 2025 on Achill Island, Ireland.
Please note: this call is for complete acts or shows (not individual performers), and they must have a strong Circus + Science theme.

- Explores the weather?
- Unearths the mysteries of nature?
- Shares insights on climate change?
- Uses physics or engineering to explain how things work?
If so, we’d love to hear from you! Circus Science by the Sea is all about making science fun and accessible through circus arts.
Important to know before you apply:
- We’re seeking circus shows or acts with a strong science theme
- We cannot accommodate aerial performances for this call
- Achill Island is reachable by public transport, but not quickly – you may need to arrive the day before your performance
- We cannot cover international travel costs, only travel within Ireland (Irish-based performers preferred)
