We are incredibly proud to share the fantastic news that ISACS Artist, Natasha Bourke has been selected for the Arts Council’s Next Generation Artist Award 2020.
Natasha has led a wide and varied career as an artist exploring the mediums of film, sound, visual arts, dance, clown, aerial and performance. It is this extension and diversity that makes Natasha one of the most interesting artists to come into or out of the contemporary circus scene in Ireland today.
Natasha’s track record of doing exactly that is outstanding, having experimented with form through her work along side the Firkin Crane, with Quarter Block Party and the Cork Sound Fair.
Not satisfied with the street, the stage or the earth, Natasha seeks to push the form into new territories developing work for and with water. This is exactly Natasha the artist. It must be a challenge, if it is not a challenge there is no reason to do it.
ISACS have nothing but admiration for Natasha, her tenacity, her ambition and her hunger for new ideas, constantly amazes and surprises. Natasha is an artist of the future, and Next Generation will facilitate that arrival.
