Circus Factory Cork is excited to announce that applications are now open to get one of three residencies in 2026.
Circus Residencies are open to emerging, mid-career and established artists living in Cork, living in Ireland, and internationally. There are various levels of support depending on where you’re coming from to do the residency at Circus Factory.
- Local – Artist Stipend €750, space rental €500 in-kind
- National – Artist Stipend €750 & travel and accommodation stipend €500, space rental €500 in-kind
- International – Artist Stipend €750 & Travel & accommodation stipend €750, space rental €500 in-kind
These residencies are made possible with the support of the Arts Council of Ireland.
The application form will ask for information about you / your company, what you intend to do with the time, how the residency will help your practice and some samples of work. We welcome applications from circus and movement arts forms, and those from diverse backgrounds.
As part of these residencies, Circus Factory Cork would like to encourage cross-pollination between the selected artists and their community. This can be a sharing, talk presented about you or your work or a workshop, for example. They welcome other ideas for engaging with their community.
Circus Factory runs adult and youth terms, an annual circus and street arts festival and workshops throughout the year, so availability is limited to a selection of 12 dates, with some flexibility in July.
Application closing date: January 12th
