Artist Caoimhe Dunn will be creating new lanterns to feature in a unique lantern procession to celebrate and mark Halloween with Wexford Arts Centre.

She will be hosting Halloween-themed giant willow lantern making workshops at the Wexford Arts Centre, October 26th and 27th and you can help create something special to light up the night.

Small scale lantern making workshops for families and all ages, will take place on Sunday the 29th. Participants will create their own willow lanterns, and are invited to take part in the lantern procession on Monday the 30th.

Taking inspiration from Irish Halloween folklore & traditions, the groups will create giant willow constructions based around the ‘Púca’ and the ‘Bow’ (Wexford’s own name for the Banshee.)

Spooky beats on the night will be provided by Wexford drumming group Bloco Garman, joining the procession at the Arts Centre!
