Taking part in the first instalment of this years Spraoi Festival, CitySpraoi, were our wonderful NEST artists Baubo. This duo did an amazing job bringing magic to Wyse Park of Waterford City with their show The Cabinet of Curatrocities.
NEST (New Emerging Street Talent) is a partnership programme between Waterford Spraoi festival and ISACS Network. It offers new emerging street artists the opportunity to develop new work and present it to a public audience in a safe, nurturing environment. NEST is funded by Arts Council Ireland.

Here’s what they had to say about their NEST experience:
The NEST residency at Spraoi was completely magical. It was just fantastic to work with so many hugely talented artists, and to have the time and the space to dedicate to creating new work which we would never have been able to make without this support. Nick and Eoin were wonderful mentors, and pushed us to develop the work in new ways. It’s been invaluable to us as a young company in developing as artists and creating work which we hope to continue developing long past the NEST residency. Lucy took a lot of time in welcoming us into the ISACS family, and the people of Waterford were such brilliant audiences. We can’t wait to come back to perform in Waterford again! Baubo
Thank you
We want to extend a massive thank you to Baubo, as well as their mentors Nick Kavanagh of Curious State and Eóin O’hAnnracháin of Lantern Productions. Also thank you to everyone in the Spraoi team for finding a way to adapt through this difficult time, continuing the encouragement and development of these artists.
