One of the central initiatives driving the ISACS Network’s effort in showcasing the creativity and talent within Ireland’s street, circus, and spectacle sectors on the global stage, is made possible through Culture Ireland’s See Here Programme.
Thanks to this support, ISACS extends exclusive invitations to European festival programmers, artistic directors, and arts producers, encouraging them to attend and engage with key events in Ireland.
In 2023, as part of this ongoing initiative, ISACS welcomed Adrian Lochhead, the Artistic Director of Eden Arts and Winter Droving Festival in the UK, to the National Circus Festival of Ireland. This collaboration resulted in an Irish Focus at this year’s Winter Droving featuring ISACS Members Megan Maher, Fanzini Productions, Symmetry Circus, Grant Goldie and Logy Logan.
About Winter Droving
The Winter Droving is a magical celebration of rural life, food, fun, masquerade, and fire in Penrith, Cumbria (UK). This year the Winter Droving is in its 13th year!
On the 26th October 2024, a magical torchlight procession will round off a day of music, masquerade and magical carnivalesque goings on.
There will be food, there will be music, and of course the parade! The market and street performers will be right across town this year.
