Scratch Night is an opportunity for artists to present and explore new work in front of a live audience. The event creates a space for experimentation and allows artists to gather valuable feedback to help shape the future of their productions. Artists present short pieces of work and invite the audience to provide constructive criticism to take away.
Feedback session: after the performances we will take a short break for the bake sale! We will then invite any audience members who want to participate in the feedback session back into the space where each artist will have a table. You are welcome to sit at one table or move around and answer questions the performers have prepared for you.
Details: Scratch Night is organised by our European Solidarity Corps volunteers supported by Galway Community Circus team.
Fees and Booking: No booking is required; this is a free event with donations on the door.

Perform at Scratch Night
Have you an act you would like to try out in front of a live audience? Adult Artists from all disciplines are invited to participate. Galway Community Circus members 12 to 17 years old will be selected by their GCC trainers to perform.
For scratch night, your work does not need to be polished. It could be a brand-new piece, or an extract from an existing show you want to rework. You may be moving from studies to professional performance, or you could be an established circus artist trying something completely new.
