ITCH will play for one night only in Galway this year, as part of Galway Theatre Festival!
We would love to see some familiar faces there, do let us know if you’re around and we can nab you a ticket if its not accessible.
Multi award-winning queer circus artist Christopher McAuley presents ITCH, the flakiest, freshest, and one of the most fearlessly full-frontal shows you’ll see this year.
Christopher has an itch that just won’t quit, and no, it’s not just the eczema. This is a story about skin and shame, sausage rolls and survival, masculinity and moisturiser. About growing up queer on the post-conflict streets of Belfast. About trying to fit in by changing your voice, your body, your everything and finding freedom in the fallout.
So, do you try to change? Or is there another way, naked and vulnerable, 20 feet off the ground?
Produced by Circusful in co-production with Outburst Arts, ITCH is a visually delightful, funny, and moving performance mixing theatre, trapeze, visuals, and a conversation with his dad, a beautiful journey in radical self-acceptance.
