Let’s gather at the magnificent passage tomb of Dowth at Brú na Bóinne. In association with the Save the Boyne campaign, this gathering is about solidarity and social connection as opposed to strategising – let’s remind ourselves of why we do what we do.

I will showcase my latest Storytelling Fire Show which has been inspired by the great work of the Save the Boyne campaign. The show tells the tragic mythological story of Boann and the Dagda. It explores why this beautiful place is so important to our natural and cultural heritage. Thus it weaves in themes from my Masters research on this campaign such as community empowerment, place identity etc. It might well be a call to action as well as a piece of art. And with a key ruling by An Bord Pleanála coming up soon after, this may be a much needed reminder of what we are doing. So, as many of you were so helpful in filling out my questionnaire for my Masters thesis, consider this performance a gift from me to the campaign. Bring chairs, snacks, whatever you need to feel comfortable. More details to follow but that’s the jist. If anyone would like to support / get involved by contributing their time, equipment, resources etc, please get in touch
