The ISACS Network are a proud member of the Alliance for Insurance Reform, as we are determined to make insurance sustainable, suitable and affordable for everyone in our sectors.
The Alliance is now planning to run an education series on different issues around insurance and kindly made it available to our membership.
They assessed that many of the challenges individuals or organisations face around insurance stems from an uncertainty about what to do, or what to ask etc.
Therefore, we encourage our members to participate in their first talk, entitled “How to Manage A Claim Against Your Organisation”. It will take place on Tuesday, 12th December at 10am via Zoom for 45 minutes to 1 hour and is being delivered by Thelma McMahon. Thelma is a solicitor and very experienced in managing and defending claims made against her employer. Her talk – which is being given in a personal capacity – will be a common sense, practical take on the things you can do that will make a difference before, during and after an incident or claim occurs.
It is hoped that subsequent talks take place monthly in the spring next year and will address:
- Negotiating my premium and understanding my policy
- Understanding the legal process
- Risk management, and
- Reporting suspected insurance fraud.
To register and attend, please email Brian Hanley, CEO of the Alliance for Insurance Reform, at brian@insurancereform.ie before December 11th.
