Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic stilt walker tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for circus arts, experience in stilt walking, and a passion for teaching and inspiring others. This role involves instructing students of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced, helping them to develop their technique, confidence, and creativity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive stilt walking classes for diverse age groups and skill levels.
  • Provide personalised instruction and constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate techniques and perform stilt walking to inspire and motivate students.
  • Collaborate with other tutors and staff to integrate stilt walking into broader circus training programs.
  • Participate in circus events, showcases, and community outreach activities as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in stilt walking, with a strong portfolio of performances.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience in circus arts or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all ages and abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of stilt walking safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
