    Internship/Work experience position

    ISACS is seeking an intern for a part-time Communication assistant role starting in January. Earlier start could be considered.

    Would you like to experience work in an exciting, dynamic and fast growing arts sector?

    Gain valuable experience in communications and learn with one of Ireland’s leading national arts advocacy organisation’s:  the Irish Street Arts Circus and Spectacle Network.

    We are looking for a tech and social media savvy dynamic individual who shares a love and knowledge of street arts, circus and spectacle art forms, with an appetite for online communication learning’s, to assist ISACS Communication’s team.


    Role: Assisting the Communications’ team with daily online communications across a broad range of platforms (website, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Newsletter and Emails). Initiating, gathering and distributing information on Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle sector across a broad range of topics.

    Supported by: ISACS Executive (CEO & Marketing/Communication Manager).

    Hours: 3 days/week [20hrs]

    Location: WEXFORD. The candidate can work remotely but will be meeting with the Communications’ team at least twice a month.


    What the role entails:

    Marketing, Communications, Social Media, PR
    Assist the Communications’ team in its daily communications on ISACS Social Media, digital platforms, website and via emails, newsletter and PR communications about upcoming events and ISACS members activities. This will also include live photographing, streaming, tweeting, posting at events.

    Creative Content

    • Prepare content for blog posts, newsletter, reviews, news and social media posts.
    • Create interactive videos and graphics to promote ISACS activities and events.
    • Search new trends and try new tools to improve ISACS promotional campaigns.

    Social Media Analytics

    Assist with the collection of data using social media, Google and SEO analytics tools to prepare monthly reports.

    Members community management & development

    • Communicate regularly with our members about upcoming opportunities, deadlines, training etc;
    • Liaise with ISACS members to gather marketing information and materials for showcasing.


    Research & Data Gathering
    Research the latest news, opportunities and events in the sector and distribute information, best practice documents of practical use to the sector in their daily practice, new research and information gathering specific to the Irish Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle Sector.

    Administrative & Technical Support

    Provide admin, technical and research support to ISACS and the CEO Manage and maintain databases & online platforms, specifically ISACS website (Joomla CMS)


    What you will gain from the experience:

    You will learn all about the street and circus sector in Ireland, you will make friends and colleagues and build invaluable networks for the future, you will learn all aspects of social media communications and marketing including analytics and live communications at an event as well as how to use a very complex Website (Joomla CMS), you will have access to a large number of networking events, festivals, performances and shows and you will have a great time.
