Balancing the Books - A beginner’s guide to finance with Peter Daly

Over two interactive Zoom sessions, Peter Daly - accountant and writer/performer, will be taking the mystery out of bookkeeping and all the main things you need to know about Finance and Revenue.

Over the course of your session, Peter will guide you through topics such as registration with Revenue, tax returns, PAYE & self-employed at the same time, deadlines, preliminary tax, record keeping, budgeting, artist exemption & answer any other finance questions that you may have.

If you’re interested in joining Peter, you can register your place for Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th July here. Each session will begin at 10.30am and will last approximately 2 hours.

N.E.S.T. Call Out 2020

Spraoi have once again partnered with the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network to bring you the N.E.S.T. (New Emerging Street Talent) programme. N.E.S.T. is open to artists at all stages of their careers, allowing them to test their ideas with live audiences and to receive mentoring for work already in development. NEST will take place as part of an adapted Spraoi festival programme this year happening between 4 – 13th September 2020.

This year’s featured performance style is ‘Walk-About’. A residency will be offered to selected artists between August 31st and September 4th with performance days taking place until September 13th. This year’s N.E.S.T. Guest Mentor is highly respected street artist Con Horgan of Fanzini Productions.

Arts & Disability - Curated Space Open Call 2020

Deadline | 4pm 16 July 2020

Arts & Disability Ireland is inviting curators, producers, arts managers and artists with disabilities to submit expressions of interest to curate an edition of Curated Space in 2020.

The focus of this Curated Space Open Call is to showcase existing work by artists with disabilities living in the Republic of Ireland. It is also possible to consider commissioning new work alongside existing work. A minimum of two artists must be featured. Curated Space is published on www.adiarts.ie.

The role of the Curated Space curator
The chosen curator or curators of Curated Space Open Call will develop their concept, contract artists, set and monitor deadlines, write a curatorial statement, work with artists on their artists statements, gather all materials to be published and support Arts & Disability Ireland with some elements of access and marketing.

Budget available
The maximum budget available for Curated Space Open Call is €2,700. This amount is inclusive of the curator fee, artists’ fees and production costs if applicable.
