Wires Crossed takes its first steps

Wires Crossed takes its first steps

Wires Crossed: A Balancing act for Europe is an anchor project of Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture, produced by ISACS member Galway Community Circus which aims to train some 400 people in the art of funambulism (wire walking) over the next four years.
Wires Crossed aims to highlight the importance of both physical and mental health by bringing this dynamic art form to all corners of Europe.

Wires Crossed will culminate in a major funambulism event in Galway 2020 where participants from all over Europe will cross the River Corrib on wires together. The individual participants will get to experience funambulism’s empowering and transformative effect as we cross wires to foster healthier communities and a more balanced Europe.

The project has just taken its first steps in Galway this month!
