FRESH STREET #3 | ARTISTIC PROGRAMME












The International Seminar for the development of Street Arts | FRESH STREET#3 presents a diverse and imaginative artistic programme.

In January 2019, the ISACS Network in partnership with Galway 2020 launched an open call for artistic presentations in response to the theme ‘Place and Identity’ for this years FRESH STREET#3, being held in Galway.

Over 120 applications from all over the world were received. A massive thanks is extended towards the dedicated selection panel of Ciaran Walsh – Culture Ireland, Tanja Ruiter – Circostrada & HH Producties and Craig Flaherty of Galway 2020 who trawled through each application in detail.

Meet our latest L.E.A.P. Trainee!

Merve LEAP trainee
Introducing our new L.E.A.P. trainee! Merve Yılmaz is the sixth inductee taking part in our L.E.A.P. programme this year. She will be assisting the team and learning new skills in Communications and Event Coordination from June-September 2018.
The ISACS L.E.A.P. programme began in 2017 and is a part of our professional training programme that provides experience for future arts leaders in research, communications and event coordination. L.E.A.P. stands for Learn, Experience, Achieve, and Prepare and trainees receive real-world experience working in an arts organisation using the learning-by-doing approach.

The ISACS L.E.A.P. programme began in 2017 and is a part of our professional training programme that provides experience for future arts leaders in research, communications and event coordination. L.E.A.P. stands for Learn, Experience, Achieve, and Prepare and trainees receive real-world experience working in an arts organisation using the learning-by-doing approach. 
This summer, three new L.E.A.P inductees Abbey Sexton, Coline Paques and Jack Beglin have jumped on board and will be assisting the team working on Communications and Research projects, during the busy upcoming festival season!

The Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) are very pleased to announce the creation of a new partnership between Ireland and the Balearic Islands in the form of an international residency exchange with the Irish Aerial Creation Centre (IACC) and The Performing Arts Research Centre – Centre d’Investigacio Escenica (C.In.E) Sineu.

#Delve17 at National Circus Festival of Ireland: participants announced!

Congrats to our member Hannah Rogerson of Teatime Company and Catherine Bourne of Cork Community Artlink! They have been selected to take part in our #DELVE17 programme at the National Circus Festival of Ireland this November! 

They will Discover, Explore, Learn Visualise and Engage with the artists, other ISACS members and international professionals of the sector during three of the festival's four days of festivities, workshops, shows, parade, talks and networking events.

Third edition of Fira B! The professional market of music and performing arts of the Balearic Islands took place in Palma from September 20th to 24th. The fair presented the latest and most representative creations of artists from the Balearic Islands, artists with an attractive programme aimed at programmers, artists and the general public. ISACS was present exploring future partnerships between the Balearic Island and Ireland.

National Circus Festival of Ireland is Ireland's first dedicated circus festival and attracts circus enthusiasts and artists from all over the country. This years' four-day programme will feature a wide range of national and international acts, emerging works, workshops, training, seminars and family-focused events.

While Katharine Kavanagh of Circus Diaries investigated what’s happening in UK... We, in Ireland have also started to get things moving with a superb launch in Galway in April and two brand new open calls:

In addition, the ISACS team also attended the Circostrada General Meeting working on a variety of projects including the preparation of Fresh Street #3 hosted by ISACS in Galway in 2019 in partnership with Galway 2020 and NUIG.

Our next project with Culture Ireland is taking place in Spraoi Waterford, where we are bringing international promoters to see Irish work thanks to Culture Ireland's See Here programme. Read more here.

Meet international professionals at ISAN On the Road - Waterford Spraoi.
ISACS is delighted to have partnered up with ISAN and Spraoi festival to discuss the theme 'Building international relationships' on August 6th at Spraoi festival in Waterford.

The Independent Street Arts Network is excited to be back On the Road again in 2017, visiting a variety of festivals throughout the summer. Following on from last years fruitful tour, ISAN (UK) will bring a series of Outdoor Arts networking events to eight festivals across the UK and Ireland.


Each event will include a chance to learn more about the host festival from the festival team, some information about the work of ISAN and a lively open space style discussion around a topical issue affecting the sector.

#DELVE17 programme at Spraoi: application now open!

ISACS is delighted to have partnered up with Spraoi to offer the opportunity to two of our members to attend any of the festival's events. They will Discover, Explore, Learn, Visualise over 20 events and Engage with the artists and other ISACS members during the three days of the festival

To fully benefit from this Go See programme supported by Arts Council Ireland, two lucky DELVErs will have their transport and accommodation provided by Spraoi and ISACS. Full details here.
