New year, New Funding and New Team for ISACS!

spraoi-viking-of-waterford
Happy New Year 2018 from all of us at Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network! We hope 2017 brought joy to your life and success to your professional career.

It certainly was a speedboat cruise for ISACS with plenty of events, talks, conferences, professional training and meetings advocating the sector all over the world! Our annual report is coming soon!

But fear not, we are not even close to slow down in 2018.

We're delighted to announce that the ISACS Network has secured funding under Arts Council of Irelan's strategic funding scheme and we're currently just finalising another jammed packed annual programme! You can already save the date for our Annual Seminar on Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle and AGM on April 18th 2018! We're looking forward to meeting you and discussing all the things street arts, circus and spectacle.

In preparing for the year ahead, we have opened up two new work placement opportunities to support the current team, CEO Lucy Medlycott and Communication head Charlotte Haffner:

- Communication and Event Coordinator Assistant
- Research and Information Assistant

Please read the job specs and dates for these amazing positions. If you are interested in working with ISACS, please email info@isacs.ie with a CV and a cover letter.

Speaking of the devil (hooper!), we would like to introduce our first new Communication and Event Coordinator Assistant: Fiona Mackey!

Fiona is a Limerick native who caught the hoop bug in 2012 when she joined Maynooth University Circus Society. She graduated from the MA Festive Arts programme in 2016 where she worked on projects with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Limerick Spring Festival and Galway Community Circus. She spent a year teaching music and exploring the Middle East and since returning has completed the Limerick School of Spectacle in collaboration with Fidget Feet Aerial Dance and Walk the Plank Arts. Fiona is brushing up on her digital skills through the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing and will be joining our team as events coordinator and communications intern.

Check out her hooping to the Cranberries in her hometown of Limerick!

We're working hard finalising our activities for 2018 and our annual report. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting news to follow soon!
