Who are the artists?

View ISACS profile

My name is Séverine (aka Sevesfeathers) and I am a Dublin-based artist specialised in hand-balancing (performing and teaching) with a MA in Literature and Theatre. I am passionate about image-creating and storytelling using movement research, strength and flexibility training, embodiment, multi-disciplinary projects and visual arts such as photography.

My most recent artistic achievements involve hand-balancing, aerial and acrobatics for Dublin Circus Project's Halloween Cabaret 2016, "Poe". More importantly, I created my first original solo hand-balancing act, "Unguarded", as part of my exploratory movement research on vulnerability and the ephemeral. "Unguarded" was successfully debuted in December 2016 in Dublin Circus Project's Christmas Cabaret and performed at the Dublin Circus Festival in March 2017. It is currently featured in the programme of The Carlow Arts Festival 2017.

When I am not training or creating new acts, I can be found teaching residential handstand courses and workshops in the Dublin Circus Project Training Centre!
