ISACS to bring international promoters and programmers to Spraoi!

ISACS to bring international promoters and programmers to Spraoi!
ISACS is delighted to announce our national network will be bringing up international programmers at Spraoi Festival in Waterford thanks to the support of Culture Ireland.

The programmers joining us through the SEE Here programme are... drum roll...:

The See Here scheme funded by Culture Ireland, is specifically designed to support the inward travel of international promoters and programmers to see work in Ireland with a view to booking the work for their venue or festival.

Mike Ribalta – Fira Tarrega

FiraTàrrega is the international market for performing arts that takes place every year in Tàrrega during the second weekend in September. Founded in 1981, it is a great shop window of what is going on in performing arts, with an eclectic programme that includes indoor shows and places special emphasis on street arts, visual and unconventional shows.

As a meeting place and an international point of reference for debate, the main objective of FiraTàrrega is to boost the performing arts market, opening the door to the internationalisation of the companies.

Other more specific objectives are the accompaniment and promotion of creations by emergent artists, encouraging training, focused on artistic creation and culture management and on generating strategic alliances to develop transnational street art circuits or productions.

Huub Heye – HH Producties

HH Producties is an innovative street arts, circus and theatre agency that cooperates with national and international companies and organisations.
We assist productions in the area of marketing, administration and financial settlement, and offer programming and consultancy services to festival organisers.

When not behind our desks, we attend festivals and professional meetings in Europe to see exceptional productions, discover great performance locations, be part of the latest developments, and share perspectives with colleagues.

Our passion for out-of-the box performances in unusual locations, drives us to create something special out of ‘thin air’.
Nothing is as rewarding as turning an ordinary street, a bleak square or park into a stage for an exquisite performance.
When we see our productions amaze and move an audience, we have done our work well.

Alfred Konijnenbelt – Festival Spoffin

Spoffin is an international festival for street arts and site-specific theatre in the historical city centre of Amersfoort (NL). Spoffin programme offers innovative and surprising street theatre and performing arts complemented by music, dance and visual arts.

The mission of Spoffin is to bring the performing arts to the audience: in streets and squares, parks and other places in public space. As well as offering intimate performances in special locations, Spoffin creates a connection between the northern and eastern regions of Europe, where street and location theatre is emerging and southern Europe, where street culture already has a much longer tradition.

We offer high quality and low threshold at the same time, for a curious and open-minded audience. Spoffin attracts an audience of over 40.000-45.000 visitors and offers different programmes consisting of:

  • IN: the main programme (on invitation only).
  • OFF: a programme for young emerging professional street artists.
  • LAB: an annual residency for maximum 1 month, followed by a premiere during the festival
  • PRO: an international professionals meeting including debates and artist's pitches (on invitation only).

Fabrizio Gavosto - Festival Mirabilia

Founded in 2007, Festival Mirabilia is a unique festival nestled in Fossano, a small Northern Italian baroque town near Turin, with an emphasis on the circus and street arts genres.
Festival Mirabilia supports the formation of industry professionals and the work of artists, promoting collaboration and networks on a wide international scale.

Mirabilia does not only program shows, but along with many Italian and international artists and programmers build strategies to support the creation throughout the year, programming and cocreating world and Italian premieres, otherwise impossible to host in Italy. The festival also host residencies through the year.

From 2013 to 2017 Mirabilia is one of six co-organizers and platforms along with Theatre de la Cité International in Paris in the project CircusNext and European Pole Circus of Italy from 2013 to 2017.
