ISACS Network to represent Ireland at the 'Power of the Possible' in Scotland

the-Power-of-the-Possible-A-Day-of-Outdoor-arts-in-Glasgow

Lucy Medlycott, CEO of the ISACS Network is looking forward to presenting at The Power of the Possible | A day of Outdoor Arts in Glasgow, together with SURGE Scotland, Articulation and Outdoor Arts UK.
Sharing ways to support, encourage and nurture these art forms across our territories is top of the agenda and we in ISACS are glad to share our own methodology as ISACS in Ireland and that of our European network Circostrada.

Joining Lucy will be ISACS Members Angelique Ross, and Henrik Gard and Paddy Waters representing Síolta Collective, who will be both presenting and pitching their new work.

Watch out for us on site! See the following time and info below.

'Síolta' consists of six artists who came together with a mutual vision to create a high-level ground-based circus show, directed by Paddy Waters.

They have recently been awarded a two-week residency at C.In.E, Mallorca in partnership with The Irish Aerial Creation Centre, Irish World AcademyInstitut Ramon Llull, and the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS), after which they premiered their brand new work in Mallorca and Ireland at the National Circus Festival of Ireland.

The members are:

Production: Tony Mahon (Ire) - Juggler & acrobat, and music Edan Ray.

Their work in progress is a show featuring highly skilled acrobatics and manipulation by artists who have trained around the world and have come together to plant a new seed in the Irish circus scene.

Angelique Ross performing Spit at Dublin Fringe Festival 2018

Finding homes in caravans and big tops, Angelique Ross has toured internationally, with shows including NoFit State show “Bianco” and Tumble Circus "Unsuitable". Angelique just won the Spirit of Wit: Moira Brady Averill Award at Dublin Fringe Festival with her new solo “SPIT”. A one-woman circus revenge show, “SPIT” is a stripped back showcase into the celebration of the fierce and wild. With relentlessly ferocious circus; tight wire, trapeze and tomatoes, expect to attack hard and spit back!
