Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) CEO Lucy Medlycott will be facilitating a talk at Articulture the National Outdoors Arts Gathering for Wales (9 - 10 March 2018) in Aberystwyth.
The event will welcome outdoor art practitioners, funders, festivals, land managers and venues to network, share ideas and forge new projects and partnerships. The Gathering is presented by Articulture in partnership with a team of people and organisations passionate about live art outdoors, including the Arts Council of Wales, Independent Street Arts Network (ISAN), National Theatre Wales, Migrations, Natural Resources Wales, NoFit State Circus, Citrus Arts, Cadw, Arad Goch, Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS), and Visit Wales.

The three-day conference aims are:
  • Networking and cross-pollination, connecting the diverse people from arts and non-arts.
  • Celebrating outdoor arts in Wales, and sharing challenges and upcoming opportunities
  • Collaboratively forming a future plan
The participants will attend a series of talks, focus discussions groups and networking activities.

The following questions will be explored:

  1. What are your outdoor arts stories? Work that you have done or seen, challenges, aspirations.
  2. What actions could help the outdoor arts movement in Wales develop over the next three years?  (For each action - who could do these? You, or someone else? Actions need to be specific, measurable and achievable within target deadlines!)
