Inspire: Seminar on Creativity for Street & Circus Arts

ISACS is delighted to present in partnership with the Cork Midsummer Festival and the Circus Factory Cork,  a Seminar entitled: Inspire; Creativity for Street & Circus Arts.

This seminar is designed to discuss the art forms of circus and street arts, their creation and impact on our audiences, communities and society. Invited guests include both local and international artists who are presenting work at Cork Midsummer Festival. We invite you to come along and hear their stories, how they make their work, where they get their inspiration and how they got started. We will also be discussing who the work is for and how they reach those audiences and why. These and many other questions will form the basis for an open conversation delving into the world of Street and Circus Artists and what makes them tick!

This event is for all those who are interested in creating, producing, presenting, promoting, participating, supporting, encouraging or viewing street and circus art forms in Ireland today.

The event starts with the Launch of Cork Midsummer at a Flash Street Party by Lords of Strut. More info here.

This seminar takes place at the Circus Factory, Albert Quay, Cork on Friday 12th June from 2-4.30pm.

Invited speakers include:

Ruairi Donovan

William Frode de la Foret - Cork Community Art Link

Ali Mswabi - Hakuna Matata

Cian Kinsella - Lords of Strut

Moderated by: Lucy Medlycott - ISACS Co-ordinator
