Sarah Kinneen | ISACS Profile

Sarah is a mover and maker based in Wexford. With a background in contemporary dance, Sarah first picked up a hula hoop two years ago and realised that fusing both dance and hoop together allowed her to explore movement in a new and exciting way. And so she stumbled upon the wonderful world of circus, and the passion has only grown since then. Recently she has been obsessively training handbalances and her greatest love is slackline. She is constantly searching, with great curiosity, for new disciplines to challenge herself and to satisfy her passion for movement. She hopes in the next year she can take to the air and begin training aerial silks.

Sarah has just begun to dip her toes into the performing scene, and she believes that being involved in DELVE 19 at Spraoi festival will be a great opportunity to see the behind the scenes of the festival, to build connections and discuss artistic advice with other artists and performers, as well as gaining inspiration for creating new work.

DELVE is a GO-SEE professional development programme supported by Arts Council Ireland, launched in 2016, to support ISACS members to get out, see and learn about street, circus and performance arts happening all around Ireland.

The programme involves going to various festivals, seeing and observing work from the street, circus and spectacle sectors, meeting the artists, the crew and discovering new ideas, inspiration and delving into these art forms with fresh eyes!

The aim of DELVE is to encourage dialogue and discussion around a variety of arts forms in Ireland, and to offer critical discussion and analysis and dynamic practices. Participants are encouraged to submit feedback from the events which can be read on our the DELVE page of our website
