National Gallery Ireland - Circus250 Exhibition
The National Gallery of Ireland will launch an exciting exhibition next summer, which will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the first circus through works of art and archive material influenced by the circus, fairgrounds and performing arts held in the National Collection.
Cork Midsummer Festival - Union Black (circus hip-hop project)
Cork Midsummer Festival in partnership with Crying Out Loud (lead partner), Far From The Norm, Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde, and Subtopia, will deliver 'Union Black' an international circus hip-hop project to mark Circus250. Galway Community Circus- Wires Crossed
Galway Community Circus, in partnership with nine European youth and social circus schools, will train people of all ages and backgrounds in the art of funambulism (highwire). Wires Crossed runs from 2017-2020 and will be part of the Circus250 programme for 2018.
