Circostrada General Meeting at Circusstad Rotterdam

The Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) is currently in Rotterdam (Netherlands) to attend Circostada Network [European Network for Circus and Street Arts], General Meeting from May 2nd until May 4th 2018, hosted by Circusstad Festival. 

Our Irish delegation of ISACS CEO Lucy Medlycott, ISACS Chair Aidan Phelan and partner Cork Midsummer Festival director Kath Gorman will be attending a jam-packed programme of networking events and workgroup meetings with European colleagues, specially designed for the European network’s members to meet, exchange and reflect collectively

During Circostrada General Meeting, members will discuss the current and upcoming activities of the network's six work groups during joint sessions and attend professional events. ISACS main focus at this meeting will be participating in a workgroup to continue the preparation of Fresh Street#3, which will be hosted in Galway in 2019 in partnership with Galway2020, Circostrada Network and the National University of Ireland Galway.

FRESH STREET#3, International Seminar for the development of Street Arts aims to support and develop street arts sector across Europe. If you would like to give us your input and help shape the programme themes and content, both looking at Irish and European issues, please fill up this survey.

These two days in Rotterdam will also be the opportunity to learn more about our host. We will have the chance to visit circus venues and facilities and to discover a rich artistic programme in the course of Circusstad Festival Rotterdam. We are looking forward to discovering the local scene and the international artists of the festival and seeing the premiere of ISACS member TeaTime Company new show Stick-Stok!




Stick-Stok - TeaTime Company May 2nd & 4th, 4 pm | Circusstad Festival

In Stick-Stock, the three artists, Hannah Rogerson, Pieter Visser and Bavo De Smedt, coming from three different countries Ireland, Belgium and Netherlands and three different disciplines Juggling, Dance and Chinese Pole, each work with their own stick, varying in height from 1,80 to 2,20 meters to challenge and play with each other.
