Trips in Galway and Inis Oírr (March)

The Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network Team was in Galway and Inis Oírr last week preparing for the next FRESH STREET #3. Organisors, partners, artists, contributors and volunteers met in Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture, to visit and meet with all the places where seminars and shows will happen. The future resident artists Liam Wilson and Kate Boschetti also joined the team the weekend so as to discover their future living space at the Áras Éanna Arts Centre where they will stay for the month of May.

ISACS BOARD NOMINATIONS

There are two seats available for appointment at the upcoming ISACS AGM 2019.

The following two nominations have been received. We will seek the ratification of these two candidates at the AGM, to officially welcome them to the Board of ISACS.

 We would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing directors Aidan Phelan, Chair, and Noeline Kavanagh, for all their time and contributions to the board of ISACS.

FRESH STREET #3 | ARTISTIC PROGRAMME












The International Seminar for the development of Street Arts | FRESH STREET#3 presents a diverse and imaginative artistic programme.

In January 2019, the ISACS Network in partnership with Galway 2020 launched an open call for artistic presentations in response to the theme ‘Place and Identity’ for this years FRESH STREET#3, being held in Galway.

Over 120 applications from all over the world were received. A massive thanks is extended towards the dedicated selection panel of Ciaran Walsh – Culture Ireland, Tanja Ruiter – Circostrada & HH Producties and Craig Flaherty of Galway 2020 who trawled through each application in detail.

Sorcas Garman | A Social Circus Project for Wexford

Sorcas Garman is a brand new Social Circus project developed in partnership with the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network, Core Creations, FDYS, Wexford Arts Centre and Local Links.

This new initiative came about with the financial support of Wexford Local Development, as a way to engage young people in creative and physical activity.

Happy New Year 2019 from all of us at Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network! We hope 2018 brought joy to your life and success to your professional career. For ISACS Network, 2018 was the busiest year up to date! Please look back at the highlights of our year in our 2018 Roundup. We would like to thanks all our staffmembersfunders and partners, and trainees for making it happen.

We're delighted to announce that the ISACS Network has secured funding under Arts Council of Ireland's strategic funding scheme and we're currently finalising another jammed packed annual programme for 2019! We are looking forward to focussing on Street Arts in 2019, after a fabulous year celebrating 250 years of Circus. Discover some of our plans in 2019!
