New Year, New us!

Happy New Year 2019 from all of us at Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network! We hope 2018 brought joy to your life and success to your professional career. For ISACS Network, 2018 was the busiest year up to date! Please look back at the highlights of our year in our 2018 Roundup. We would like to thanks all our staffmembersfunders and partners, and trainees for making it happen.

We're delighted to announce that the ISACS Network has secured funding under Arts Council of Ireland's strategic funding scheme and we're currently finalising another jammed packed annual programme for 2019! We are looking forward to focussing on Street Arts in 2019, after a fabulous year celebrating 250 years of Circus. Áras Éanna Artists in Residence to perform at FRESH STREET#3


The ISACS Network is delighted to present Kate Boschetti and Liam Wilson, a new duo in juggling and street performance, as the selected artists in residence at FRESH STREET#3, the International Seminar for the Development of Street Arts. This four-week residency provides a unique opportunity to create site-responsive work on the island of Inis Oírr in synergy with its people and distinctive natural setting. The residency is offered by the Áras Éanna Arts Centre with the support of the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle NetworK (ISACS) in partnership with Circostrada and Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture.

The Áras Éanna Artist in Residency programme provides the space and environment for artists to develop, produce and reflect on their work in the beautiful wild surrounds of Inis Oírr island. The Centre provides a hub for artists to gather and present work with the people of the island in support of indigenous craft, culture, story-telling and expression.

2018 RoundUp - ISACS Network Year in review!

From talking at major international conferences, hosting national and international talks, welcoming our biggest delegation of international programmers to Ireland, supporting and bringing artists to a dozen of renowned national and international events, creating new international exchanges, to running a large scale outdoor arts audience survey and joining a national campaign for insurance reform; 2018 was banner year for the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network!

Meet Alonso Lobato Jimenez, FRESH STREET#3 Coordinator


We are thrilled to welcome Alonso Lobato Jimenez in the ISACS Network team in the new part-time role of FRESH STREET#3 Co-ordinator from 1st December 2018 - June 2019He will be reinforcing the current ISACS team CEO Lucy Medlycott and Communications Officer Charlotte Haffner, ahead of the third edition of the International Seminar for the Development of Street Arts in May 2019, hosted by ISACS Network in partnership with the European Network for Street Arts and Circus CircostradaGalway 2020- European Capital of Culture and the National University of Ireland in Galway NUI Galway. Alonso will be working with us to prepare and plan for the International Conference FRESH STREET#3, which will have a high impact on the development of Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle in Ireland and internationally and to contribute to our fast-growing and thriving organisation with a strong vision for the years ahead.

Circostrada General Meeting at Cirque-Théâtre d’Elbeuf, in France

We’ll be heading to France from Wednesday 5th-Friday 9th of December for the last Circostrada Network [European Network for Circus and Street Arts] General Meeting of the year, co-organised by Cirque-Théâtre d’Elbeufin partnership with Atelier 231 and CircusNextCircostrada Network advocates and lobbies for our collective artforms at European level. Over 30 different countries are represented in the network and over 100 different members ranging across art forms, roles and functions.
