Fidget Feet

ISACS Member Fidget Feet, featuring Lee Harry Clayden and Chantal McCormick

ISACS are delighted to present, in partnership with the Circostrada Network and the MA in Festive Arts, Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, a focus session exploring the boundaries between dance and circus. We will be looking, in particular, at where one art form crosses into another and how we articulate that.

Drawing on the experience of our expert panel of speakers, we will hear examples from both sectors of cross art form experience, of art form development and of the different paths that have been taken by Dance and Circus, and how these routes impact the work, the artist and the outcomes.

This interactive focus session aims to stimulate debate, discussion and conversation around the fundamental differences and similarities of these art forms and how we can learn from and support each other in our unique practice.

This focus session is open to all and will be of particular interest to arts practitioners, performers, choreographers, critics, academics, policy makers, researchers and writers.

This event is part funded by the Arts Councils Programming Grant to the ISACS Network.
