CHOP is a dangerously funny, wildly absurd descent into fragile masculinity, environmental collapse, and the insatiable hunger for more.
At its centre is a lone wood-chopper stuck in a strange, end-of-the-world loop, hacking away as everything around him falls apart.
Blending slapstick, clowning, and high-energy physical comedy… with real axes and real wood chopping! CHOP turns eco-anxiety, masculinity, and our messy relationship with the planet into a fast, joyful, and surprisingly moving experience. Part absurd spectacle, part urgent provocation, it sits at the turning point between collapse, connection, and change.

Lords of Strut is an Irish circus company known for blending circus skills, physical theatre, and absurd humor. The act gained popularity for its high-energy performances that mix acrobatics, dance, and clowning with a satirical take on celebrity culture and societal norms.

In 2023, Cian Kinsella became the sole director, continuing to push the company’s evolution. Cian explores environmental advocacy, ecology of culture, and play as a creative strategy. Lords of Strut remains a unique force in contemporary Irish performance, merging comedy, circus, and satire to create engaging, immersive entertainment.
