Hello Ireland!
Introducing Motion Chapel, a new arts organisation dedicated to the Circus Arts in County Roscommon, Ireland.
Housed in an old monastery on three acres of land, we are excited to announce our plans for becoming another dot on the map of Irish and International Circus, a destination for training and research right in the heartlands of Ireland.
The Monastery sleeps 8-10 people in a newly built, cozy dorm, and will provide catering as needed. We will also provide office corners for resident artists, as well as community spaces to meet, connect and collaborate.
We are setting up the adjoining Chapel primarily as a creation and training space for ground based Circus arts. We are looking forward to hosting
– residency time for independent artists- residency time for established/funded artists and projects
– Workshops, seminars & Training intensives
– evening events & small conventions/festivals
– building weeks in which you can come for open training, food and board in exchange for volunteering on our never ending building list
Over the course of 2023 we will be hosting pilot events in most of the above categories, stay tuned for information coming soon!
