Eimear is multi-disciplinary artist based in Cork. Storytelling, expression of feeling and connection with the audience are core elements of her work which she communicates through spoken word/stories, dance, aerial/vertical dance and fire and prop manipulation.
Her art explores themes of identity, Irish culture, sexuality, autonomy, perception and the dichotomy of human emotion. A late comer to the circus world with a background in science, she is in some ways an outsider in the art world, existing in the in-between. This grey area is where she is happiest, blurring lines and confronting ideas of how ‘things should be’.
She is also, an absolute clown.
