Dr Jennifer de Brún is an Irish aerialist and ethnochoreologist, who fell in love with aerial spiral and aerial hoop. Trained in Cecchetti classical ballet and contemporary dance, Jennifer has performed internationally for theatres, festivals, corporate events, and television. Jennifer is an associate artist with Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre and aerial coach and at the Irish Aerial Creation Centre. She is the Performing Arts Coordinator at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, at the University of Limerick, where she has completed a PhD in Arts Practice Research and Aerial Dance. In her performance work she is a ferocious thinker, formidable technician, and fervent storyteller. In her creative practice she dances on the knife’s edge between liquid grace and outright devastation.
