Two weeks ago I finally got around to creating a photoshoot with my wonderful puppet Danu. This project gave me the chance to explore, from a design perspective, the evolution of pagan goddesses into Christian saints. For the last two years I’ve been interested in the crossovers of different belief systems. The pagan gods and goddesses that were adapted and re worked to suit the Christian faith. I wanted to design and create something that represented that interest of mine, drawing on recognisable religious iconography but yet still rooting the look in an earthly pagan presence. So far I’ve been very pleased with the outcome of this project.
Big thank you to Artlink’s, who helped fund this project .
