Last September,  we brought DELVE back for the third time this year and went to  PITCH’D Festival, in Cork with ISACS artists Aoife Nyhan Kavanagh, Noelle Killius (Dublin Circus Project) and Charlotte Bruce.

The DELVE (Discover, Explore, Learn, Visualise and Engage) programme – aims to support artists to experience and be inspired by art through a range of festivals and programmes throughout Ireland. We go, we see, we watch, we listen, we learn, we connect with art and art makers and we get inspired.

All three artists joined ISACS Director, Lucy Medlycott in attending the following:

  • Late Night Cabaret
  • Industry Symposium
  • Squarehead Productions
  • Kundle Cru
  • Fired up Cabaret
  • PakAnimal Live
  • Networking Brunch
  • Street Shows
  • Festival Gala

Here’s what our artists had to say about their DELVE experience:

I had an amazing experience at the Pitch’D Circus Festival in cork with the delve programme at Isacs. It was a jam packed weekend filled with shows, networking and great food! This programme gave me the opportunity to connect with other artists outside of Wexford and Limerick! And I am extremely grateful! I met such amazing artists and was left very inspired for creating art in the future!! Thank you Isacs!

-Charlotte Bruce

I had an amazing time overall. Lucy took all the information we submitted, she knew about us and set up the best opportunities for conversations with existing professionals in the sector. All opportunities to chat with professionals, in a workshop setting or dinner setting, proved to be informative but also collaborative. I felt very connected to the community after all our discussions.

The multiple shows we were able to see provided inspiration for my own work, but also the opportunity to get familiar with existing circus work in the sector.

The fact that ISACS gets you involved with Pitch’D is something I would highly recommend. Lucy walking us around and facilitating discussions with other professionals really helped me feel connected to the circus scene for the first time.
