DELVE: Discover, Explore, Learn, Visualise and Engage – aims to support artists to experience and be inspired by art through a range of festivals and programmes throughout Ireland. We go, we see, we watch, we listen, we learn, we connect with art and art makers and we get inspired.

We are delighted to bring DELVE back to life with a visit to Spraoi Festival, Waterford with the selected artists, Danae Wollen  and Macha Shewolf!

Danae and Macha will join ISACS Director, Lucy Medlycott attending the following:

About Danae

Dane Wollen HeadshotA professionally trained contemporary circus performer, Danae has specialised in various acrobatic disciplines; acrodance, handstand, cyr wheel, aerial and equestrian acrobatics. Her work includes strong elements of theatre and street arts.

First discovering and developing a circus practice as a student in Dublin, advancing to performing with a number of Irish companies including Guerilla Aerial and Circomara, in various productions, including the Galway Theatre Festival, Electric Picnic, Another Love Story and Dublin Circus Festival.

Spending two years studying at the school of circus arts; Rogelio Rivel, she explored the facets of contemporary circus in Spain and France; developing skills in acrobatic technique and creation, with a particular interest in creating stripped back performances. Always seeking to merge varying art forms; circus with live music, storytelling through movement, sculpture as a backdrop to theatre.
