Artist Announcement: Áras Éanna Ionad Ealaíne Residency 2026 

Liam is a freelance circus artist inspired by community and connections created through the meetings of people. Liam believes in the transformative power of circus art and practice to join people together and to serve as a medium through which people may connect to one another and also find community. Liam began circus with Galway Community Circus and later continued his training in Barcelona and later in France, where he specialised in Partner acrobatics with Pauline Talon.

Working professionally since 2016, as a freelance artist, Liam has worked with different shows and companies from France, Spain and Ireland.

Liam has toured throughout Europe and Internationally. He creates his own work with his duo Les Mains en l’Air.

Liam is a creator and he endeavors to integrate different art forms such as storytelling, music and sculpture, into his creations in order to communicate more clearly and effectively his ideas.

Pauline is a freelance circus artist who first discovered her passion through aerial rope. This motivated Pauline to leave Switzerland and begin her training in Chambéry, France. There, she found a way to express herself and experience unexpected adventures. She met Liam in Barcelona, ​​and together they completed their training at the Centre regional des arts du cirque in Lomme, France, in July 2021.

Pauline loves the idea of ​​making circus accessible to everyone and using it as a means of empowerment. She also particularly enjoys site-specific projects and collaborative creations.

These moments in public spaces allow her to forge special connections, spark smiles, and exchange glances with every encounter, thus bringing a unique flavor to each project. She also loves drawing inspiration from places, their history, and their culture.

Since then, in addition to her duo work, she has joined various acrobatic collectives and companies, including Compagnie XY, Circ Pistolet, and Cikada Circus.
