ISACS is delighted to present Jenni Nikinmaa and Belén Marianela Vergara Amado as the two ISACS artists invited to join the ISACS team, to experience the Waterford Spraoi Festival and DIVE Programme.

DELVE: Discover, Explore, Learn, Visualise and Engage – aims to support artists to experience and be inspired by art through various festivals and programmes throughout Ireland. We go, we see, we watch, we listen, we learn, we connect with art and art makers, and we get inspired.

Here is what they say about their expectations:

I am looking forward to engage with the festival as a spectator and connect with artist colleagues. My hope is to nourish my creativity and learn from their work or research, to fill myself with new ideas and projections, and above all enjoy their creative minds.

-Belén Marianela Vergara Amado

I work as a writer & maker in outdoor spaces and within street arts, but as I come from theatre background (and from Finland) I am lacking connections within the circus & street arts community, and Spraoi would be the perfect place to establish more of those- especially as part of DELVE, where I would have ISACS support to engage with other creators and programmers. The festival would offer me an opportunity to get to see more of the kind of work I want to make, find new ideas and become more familiar with the possibilities of the realm of street arts.
