Learn More About Us

The Irish Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle Network We are a collaborative network of people and organisations interested in the development of the Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle art forms for, with and by Irish artists. We represent over 70 member organisations and individuals across Ireland and beyond. We have a voluntary Board of Directors which are elected by the members in rotation at our Annual General Meeting. We aim to raise the profile, increase recognition and support the development of the sector by:

Join the Irish Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle Network on the 4 - 6th August celebrating 25 years of the oldest Street Arts Festival in Ireland at Spraoi Festival in Waterford!

Take part in, witness and enjoy artistic development programmes, specially designed by ISACS to raise up Irish artists national and international profile and grow the sector in Ireland.

We will be: supporting the ISACS artists selected for NEST 17, hosting the new DELVE programme, joining forces with ISAN UK to present their 'On the Road' tour discussing all things international in Waterford, meeting with ISACS International mentors through the 'SEE Here' programme supported by Culture Ireland.

Spraoi17Spraoi Festival will host national and international acts at Ireland's longest running international street arts festival, all in the historical city of Waterford. The annual Spraoi Festival and Parade is held every August Bank Holiday weekend and celebrates Spraoi 25 years in 2017. 

The Festival, devoted to Street Art has become a firm favourite among locals and tourists alike and attracts an over 100,000 people to Waterford City over its three days. It’s now better known locally as “The Spraoi Weekend”.

This year Spraoi celebrates River Suir, with Source to Sea theme.

Spraoi NEST The professional development programme N.E.S.T: New Emerging Street Talent has come about through an innovative partnership between ISACS and Spraoi Waterford with mentorship by Simon Thompson this year. ISACS gratefully acknowledges the support for NEST from the Arts Council of Ireland

The three artistsTom CampbellSandra González Bandera and Severine De Maleingreau, will present their work at the Spraoi Festival on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th of August at 7pm. The event will be MC'ed by the famous Lords of Strut

The presentations follow one week in residence at the Spraoi studios from Monday 31st of July to Friday 4th of August for a full week of mentoring with the Spraoi team and guest mentor Bill Palmer of Avanti Display, during which the artists had the opportunity to be evaluated, advised. The artists will also meet international artists and promoters over the weekend.

 Spraoi delve17ISACS is delighted to have partnered up withSpraoito offer the opportunity to two of our members to attend any of the festival's events. They will Discover, Explore, Learn, Visualise over 20 events and Engage with the artists and other ISACS members during the three days of the festivalTo fully benefit from this Go See programme supported by Arts Council Ireland, two lucky DELVErs will have their transport and accommodation provided by Spraoi and ISACS. Spraoi ISAN ON THE ROAD2ISACS is delighted to have partnered up with ISAN and Spraoi festival to discuss the theme 'Building international relationships' on August 6th at Spraoi festival in Waterford from 10.45am – 12.15pm at Garter Lane Arts Centre

The Independent Street Arts Network is On the Road again in 2017, visiting a variety of festivals throughout the summer bringing a series of Outdoor Arts networking events to eight festivals across the UK and Ireland.

  • learn more about  ISAN's work in UK
